Welcome to our classroom blog.<\/p>\n
Grade<\/span>\u00a02<\/span>\u00a0will hopefully\u00a0be\u00a0an\u00a0exciting\u00a0year\u00a0for students and offer\u00a0them\u00a0new learning moments.\u00a0There will, however,\u00a0likely be\u00a0moments of frustration. Learning a foreign language\u00a0is\u00a0hard work!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In\u00a0my classroom, we\u00a0value\u00a0effort and resilience.\u00a0We\u00a0work\u00a0to<\/span>wards being okay with making mistakes and developing a growth mindset.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Like students,\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0a French learner\u00a0myself.\u00a0I was an Immersion student in Richmond from Kindergarten\u00a0to<\/span>\u00a0Grade<\/span>\u00a012.\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0lived in France and Qu\u00e9bec and\u00a0continue\u00a0to<\/span>\u00a0visit both places. Learning French has truly opened doors in my personal and professional life.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n In my spare time, I enjoy learning my family’s languages, reading, and exploring local forests and beaches.<\/span><\/p>\n My teaching interests can change but, in recent years, I\u2019ve been learning more about outdoor education. I hope to<\/span>\u00a0normalize all-weather nature play\u00a0and\u00a0exploration.\u00a0In other words,\u00a0we\u2019ll\u00a0be outside rain or shine\u00a0every day,\u00a0so please have your child dressed for the day\u2019s weather!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n I look forward to working with you and your child this year.
