About Mme Lundgren

Bonjour families!

Welcome to our classroom blog.

Grade 2 will hopefully be an exciting year for students and offer them new learning moments. There will, however, likely be moments of frustration. Learning a foreign language is hard work!

In my classroom, we value effort and resilience. We work towards being okay with making mistakes and developing a growth mindset.

Like students, I’m a French learner myself. I was an Immersion student in Richmond from Kindergarten to Grade 12. I’ve lived in France and Québec and continue to visit both places. Learning French has truly opened doors in my personal and professional life.

In my spare time, I enjoy learning my family’s languages, reading, and exploring local forests and beaches.

My teaching interests can change but, in recent years, I’ve been learning more about outdoor education. I hope to normalize all-weather nature play and exploration. In other words, we’ll be outside rain or shine every day, so please have your child dressed for the day’s weather!

I look forward to working with you and your child this year. Consider this blog ‘a window’ into our classroom as we share some learning moments online.
