In our class discussion, there were some statements that stood out more than others. Many students liked, &#8220;Be your own thinker!&#8221; &#8220;Be okay reaching out for help,&#8221; is one that many of us adults have a hard time with. We also really liked, &#8220;Be connected,&#8221; and &#8220;Be kind,&#8221; and some students thought they were good statements in a pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>We shared the connections we made to some of these statements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;I felt brave when I jumped off a diving board into a pool.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;I was being curious when I went for a nature walk.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;My mom was patient when she was waiting a looooong time for me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1799\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1799\" style=\"width: 858px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-1799\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/loungsayf\/files\/2020\/12\/PXL_20201203_0035452032.jpg\" alt=\"hallway bulletin board\" width=\"858\" height=\"514\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1799\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Our hallway bulletin board<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Please login to your child&#8217;s blogfolio to view their response to this book.
