{"id":2670,"date":"2026-01-15T21:48:24","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T05:48:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/lavoratab\/?p=2670"},"modified":"2026-01-15T21:48:24","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T05:48:24","slug":"behaviour-collaborative-class-goal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/lavoratab\/2026\/01\/15\/behaviour-collaborative-class-goal\/","title":{"rendered":"Behaviour &#038; Collaborative Class Goal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a class, we are continuing to work on strengthening our transitions between subjects and classrooms, such as moving to Math, Art, and Music, so that we arrive prepared, settled, and ready to learn.<\/p>\n<p>As we move into Term 2, our collaborative class goal will focus on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintaining a respectful noise level during transitions<\/li>\n<li>Avoiding side conversations<\/li>\n<li>Settling quickly so learning time can begin right away<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To support this goal, I have met with all students to discuss the increased expectations for Term 2. We talked together about what positive transitions look and sound like, and how these routines help create a calm and respectful learning environment.<\/p>\n<p>We also discussed behaviour during lessons, where students are expected to listen fully and attentively, follow directions, and remain engaged so that learning can take place without interruption. At this time, students are experiencing an exceptionally challenging time meeting expectations during Music class, which impacts learning for themselves and others.<\/p>\n<p>I kindly ask that you discuss these expectations at home with your child, particularly the importance of respectful listening, self-regulation, and following through on classroom expectations in all learning spaces.<\/p>\n<p>Together, by reinforcing consistent expectations at school and at home, we can support students in developing the skills they need to be successful learners and respectful community members.
