We explored single-outcome probability, both theoretical and experimental. We learned about types of transformations, as well as angle measurement and classification and triangle classification. We explored improper fractions and mixed numbers and how to compare them.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><strong>Math 7:\u00a0<\/strong><span class=\"x_elementToProof\">As mathematicians, we continued to work on estimation and using logic and patterns to solve puzzles and play games. We explored experimental probability with two independent events, both theoretical and experimental. We learned about types of transformations, as well as the addition and subtraction of integers. We explored the relationships between fractions and decimals.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><strong>Term 1 Math (Ms. Chu)<\/strong><\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Big idea: Computational fluency and flexibility with numbers extend to operations with whole numbers and decimals.<\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><\/div>\n<div>Students have used reasoning and logic to explore, analyze and apply mathematical ideas as they solve puzzles and engaged in problem-solving experiences.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>They have worked on multiplication and division facts to 100, explored factors and multiples, learned about proportional reasoning, percentages and explored probability.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Term 2 Math (Ms. Chu) Math 6:\u00a0As mathematicians, we continued to work on estimation and using logic and patterns to solve puzzles and play games.
