This term has just FLOWN by! We&#8217;re already in December, and I feel it will be over before we know it! <strong>This week marks the end of Term 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Learning Tribes<\/em> will be switched out next week to mark the beginning of a new term. Some subjects, like Math and Science are mid unit, while other units will come to an end.<\/p>\n<p>For example, in <strong>Science<\/strong>, we have been focusing on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Wolves in the Great Bear Rainforest and SYSTEMS<\/span>. We continue on with the concept of &#8220;systems&#8221; but will be saying goodbye to our lovely wolves and moving into <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">BODY SYSTEMS.<\/span> We will continue on with some of our related <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">INQUIRIES<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Next week in <strong>Socials<\/strong>, we will begin to look at <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Indigenous systems of governance,<\/span> and then move into Rights and Freedoms.<\/p>\n<p><em>Key dates:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dec. 6 (afternoon) &#8211; <strong>Forest Friday<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Dec. 9 &#8211; Final reports submitted to administration for review<\/li>\n<li>Dec 9-13 &#8211;\u00a0Winter concert rehearsals begin<\/li>\n<li>Dec. 11 &#8211; last math class of the year<\/li>\n<li>Mon, Dec. 16th &#8211; Report cards go home<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wed, Dec. 18th &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Winter Concert for Division 4,\u00a0<\/strong> afternoon (1pm) and evening (6pm)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fri, Dec. 20th &#8211;\u00a0Last day of school<\/strong> before the holidays <strong>**<\/strong><em>PJ Day and class party**<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>January 6th, 2020 &#8211; School re-opens<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/lanawayk\/files\/2018\/12\/happy-holidays-e1450460665353.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6377\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/lanawayk\/files\/2018\/12\/happy-holidays-e1450460665353.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"985\" height=\"652\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wow!
