{"id":6386,"date":"2019-01-14T13:14:05","date_gmt":"2019-01-14T21:14:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/lanawayk\/?p=6386"},"modified":"2019-01-18T16:09:48","modified_gmt":"2019-01-19T00:09:48","slug":"welcome-to-a-new-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/lanawayk\/2019\/01\/14\/welcome-to-a-new-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to a new year!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Term 2 is well underway and I&#8217;m so excited to get into new units in Language Arts, Math and Science!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Language Arts<\/span> we&#8217;ve started <strong>Literature Circles<\/strong>. Students have been given their reading groups, in some cases students have multiple novels to read. We continue to write our blogs, as seen in our BLOGFOLIOS.<\/p>\n<p>In <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Science<\/span> we&#8217;re starting a new unit in Biology, studying <strong>Bears and Body Systems<\/strong> which will include indigenous perspective and ways of knowing that touches on the <em>interconnectedness<\/em> of ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>In <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Math<\/span> we&#8217;re into Unit 3 &#8211; <strong>Decimals<\/strong> (multiplying\/dividing).
