We’ve been having a fantastic time diving into the world of leaves! First, we went on a leaf hunt and had so much fun discovering the various shapes and patterns leaves come in. We also noticed how, during the fall, leaves display a beautiful array of colours and textures.

Back in the classroom, we created some wonderful leaf rubbings, which allowed us to combine art and science as we explored the unique features we found on the leaves. We’ve been learning all about the different parts of leaves, like the blade, veins, stem, and edge, and we even got to touch and feel them.

After that, we enjoyed a fun math activity where we measured the leaves using non-standard units and observed the patterns within the leaves. Then, we wrote down the descriptions and details of each leaf in our journals.
