Apples!

We have been learning about apples and some different types of apples we can find at our local grocery stores. We had a taste test where we tried five different types (Pink Lady, Honeycrisp, McIntosh, Gala, and Ambrosia. We talked about the different characteristics of the apples and how they differ from each other. Once we casted our votes and rated them out of 5, we made a graph to show our data and talked about what information we can gather from our results! Yum!

What Makes You Cranky?

We have been working on expressing our feelings using the colours of the Zones of Regulation. We read the story “Crankenstein” by Samantha Berger, talking about when you’re feeling cranky and the different situations that may make you feel this way. We then did a writing activity where we talked about what makes us cranky and how we can feel better.

What Is Your Favourite Colour?

We’ve been learning about different types of graphs and how we can interpret the data we receive, through making comparisons and observing patterns. We have started to do a survey a day, and here is the one we talked about today! Here, we did a survey about our favourite colours and recorded this in a tally chart, formatted in two different ways.

The Water Cycle

After learning about the weather and seasonal changes, we have transitioned into learning about the water cycle. We talked about the different parts of the cycle and how they can be seen when we look outside.
