Literacy time encompasses a variety of language-based activities to engage students in reading, writing and developing their oral language skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

Novel Study: Fantastic Mr. Fox<\/span><\/strong>

\n<\/strong><\/span>Students will identify elements of a story such as characters, plot and setting, and practise using reading comprehension strategies.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Visualizing:<\/strong> This comprehension strategy involves listening to the read aloud text and making mental pictures of the characters or story events.
