Our bulletin board to honour National Indigenous Veterans Day.
This Remembrance’s Day, our class researched and learned about Indigenous Veterans who served and died in the world wars. We appreciate that the soldiers died to keep us and our country safe. We shall appreciate and talk about November; November is a month to remember about the people who served in world war(s). November 8th is National Indigenous Veterans Day.
We also did some circle weaving to make poppies to wear on our shirts. The circle weaving were steps that repeated itself following the over and under pattern. It required a lot of patience. We are proud of the poppies we made.
We did silhouette art. It was fun.
We read the newspaper about events that we should remember. We had a scavenger hunt with the newspaper.
We had a school wide assembly to honour the Veterans. Some of our classmates were in choir!
