Are you interested in supporting your child’s musical growth by purchasing an instrument for home practice! That is great! If you can, I would suggest you and your child picking out their instrument. It is always a special experience for them. Here are some suggestions of where you can purchase or rent an instruments:
- Long and McQuade I prefer the Long and McQuade in Vancouver since they have a large selection. Address: 368 Terminal Ave, Vancouver, BC V6A 3W9 Pros: If something happens to the instrument, for example the tuning pegs are faulty in the first year, they will repair it for you. Cons: A bit pricier.
- Tom Lee Music I prefer the Tom Lee Music downtown since it has a great selection. The only problem is that it is… downtown.
- Facebook Marketplace. Pros: Good price. Cons: If there is something wrong with it you can’t return it, and will need to get it fixed at Long and McQuade.
Soprano Ukulele recommendations: I would make sure not to purchased a brightly coloured instruments, since usually under the paint isn’t a quality wood. A good instrument example is the Leho Soprano Ukulele
