September!

TERRY FOX RUN– The students participated in our Annual Terry Fox Run and it was a beautiful day to get outside for some walking and running! They ran and walked with friends and shared a lot smiles and laughs together as they supported a worthy cause.  Thank you to those who were able to contribute donations to the Terry Fox Foundation.

TENNIS– The students learned tennis skills in our recent tennis lessons. Students have learned simple games to develop the skills needed to play tennis and have experienced small court games to practice serving a ball over the net and returning the pass back over the net (a rally). Ask your child to show you what they have learned!

NOISY READING– Some of you are able to make it into our classroom on Thursdays to share in reading with your child and often other students as well. It is heartwarming to see families sharing in the joy of reading and sharing in the enjoyment of books.

CHOICE TIME– the students often enjoy creating and building during our Choice time. Here are some of the creations and challenges!

CHALLENGE! The students were given three red plastic cups and two pieces of cardstock. The challenge was to stack the cups with the cards in between and then try to pull out the cards and have the cups all stack together. Many were able to complete the challenge. They all worked together and seemed to have fun doing so.
