Activity #1:  There Was a Frog

Here is a super fun song! Sing along with Mr. Teodoro da Silva …

Activity #2:  Peter and the Wolf part 3

This week let’s explore part 3 of the Story of Peter and the Wolf  by clicking here:  https://musicplayonline.com/modules/peter-and-the-wolf-3/

The timpani or kettledrums play the sound of the hunters’ rifles – this was that amazing set of drums we heard at the back of the orchestra at the Orpheum Theatre!

Activity #3:  The Remarkable Farkle McBride

Remember how much fun we had before Spring Break learning about the instruments of the orchestra? And then our amazing field trip to go see and hear the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra play at the Orpheum Theatre? Well, this is a story written and read by a favourite actor and musician of mine, John Lithgow, about finding which instrument was right for him… I think you’ll remember many of the instruments you see and hear in this story 🙂

Activity #4:  May the Fourth be with you!

Here is the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra having some fun with the “Cantina Band” song from Star Wars. Get ready to dance!
