Oki, welcome to my first post!\u00a0 My name is Tracy Healy, I am the Indigenous Literacy Teacher on the Indigenous Education Team for the Burnaby School District.\u00a0 I would like to begin by acknowledging we are\u00a0on the shared, ancestral and unceded traditional territories of the h\u0259n\u0313q\u0313\u0259min\u0313\u0259m\u0313 and S\u1e35wxw\u00fa7mesh speaking people.\u00a0 I am a member of the Kainai, Blood Tribe.\u00a0 My Nation is part of the Blackfoot Confederacy in Southern Alberta.\u00a0 I now reside on the Musqueam Reserve with my family.\u00a0 I have been with the Indigenous Education Team since 1998 and have witnessed much progress to include Indigenous perspective into all subject areas of the K-12 curriculum.<\/p>\n
