The children were surprised to learn that all of these foods are grown in the rainforest. <\/p>\n

In science, one of the curricular competencies expects that the students are able to make exploratory observations using their senses.  This time the children used their sense of taste. <\/p>\n

We decided to conduct an experiment and try something new – we ate papaya and drank coconut milk.  Some of us were not sure if we would like them . . . but as scientists, we knew that we had to be brave.<\/p>\n
