{"id":4194,"date":"2018-11-01T12:56:13","date_gmt":"2018-11-01T19:56:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/gourlays\/?p=4194"},"modified":"2018-11-01T12:56:13","modified_gmt":"2018-11-01T19:56:13","slug":"perfect-pumpkins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/gourlays\/2018\/11\/01\/perfect-pumpkins\/","title":{"rendered":"Perfect Pumpkins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Describing the properties of objects is an important learning objective in science.&nbsp; The little scientists of Division 8&nbsp; are developing this important scientific skill by using their five senses to develop a detailed description of our class pumpkin.<\/p>\n<p>We described what our pumpkin <strong>looked<\/strong> like: orange, round, small, short, rind, stem, ribs.&nbsp; We shook the pumpkin and <strong>heard<\/strong> it rattle.&nbsp; We took off the lid and looked inside: pulp, seeds, stringy goo.&nbsp; We <strong>smelled<\/strong> the pumpkin:&nbsp; phew!&nbsp; We <strong>touched<\/strong> the pulp and counted the seeds.&nbsp; &nbsp;Finally, we cooked the seeds and <strong>tasted<\/strong> them: delicious!
