Leaves use light, water and air to make food for plants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;\"> Chlorophyll is what gives green leaves their color.\u00a0 It also traps sunlight and uses that energy to turn the water and air into food.\u00a0 In the fall, plants prepare to rest for the winter.\u00a0 Plants no longer need food and the job of the leaves is finished\u00a0 The chlorophyll fades away and the colors of the leaves are revealed &#8211; yellow, red. brown and orange.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;\">We were inspired by the fall colors to create tissue paper leaves.\u00a0 We also used descriptive words to write poems.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;\">\u00a0[metaslider id=2216]<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Division 10\u00a0 wondered why leaves change color in the fall.
