We had a guest teacher this week at Parkcrest School.  Her name is Daisy and we learned a lot from her.   We found out that Daisy is a mammal, and that means that she gives birth to a live baby and feeds it milk from her body.  We were able to watch a milking demonstration and ask her farmer lots of questions.  Daisy produces eight jugs of milk a day, and those jugs end up at the market for us to drink. Thanks for sharing Daisy!

Fun Fact: Cows drink a bathtub full of water every day.

Division 7 has been working on creating concrete graphs using one-to-one correspondence.  Graphs help us compare and interpret data.   First, we asked the question: Do you like coconut milk? Next, we tried it.  Then, we graphed our results.  [metaslider id=2867]

Fun Fact: Did you know that coconuts are the biggest seeds in the world?

Division 7 are scientists!  We know that when scientists work they start with a question, form a hypothesis, test their hypothesis, record their observations, and come to a conclusion. Our question was: Will a coconut sink or float?

Ask me what happened and why.
