Task: 

  1. Watch the videos about digital citizenship from the YouTube playlist from Common Sense Education found below…
  2. Digital Citizen Videos or  Read: How Can I Be A Good Digital Citizen? By Christine Zuchora-Walske on  Epic Books .  (families wanting access to Epic books please send me an email and we will add you to Division 11’s account).
  3. Read the Video Conference Guidelines (PDF);  Video Conference Guidelines (Word Document)
    Think:What are some ways that computers help you?  What are some ways computers can be bad for you?  What are some ways you can stay safe when using the internet?
  4. Do:  Write or draw pictures of what you will do to be a good digital citizen as you work and learn online, independently and with others –OR– Create a poster about what it means to be a good digital citizen.Put this in a place where you can see it, such as in your window or on your fridge, and be reminded each time you get online
  5. Take a picture of your creation and/or your writing to share with your teacher
  6. Remember, these activities should be done over time. Pick and chose what’s right for your family.
