{"id":5354,"date":"2017-11-28T16:45:25","date_gmt":"2017-11-29T00:45:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/gaitensp\/?p=5354"},"modified":"2017-11-28T16:45:25","modified_gmt":"2017-11-29T00:45:25","slug":"due-to-technical-difficulties-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/gaitensp\/2017\/11\/28\/due-to-technical-difficulties-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Due to Technical Difficulties&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;AKA Foggy Teacher Brain (FTB) (it was sitting in the photocopier&#8230;), your homework sheet for tonight is posted here:<\/p>\n<p>1<em>. <strong>The<\/strong><\/em><strong><em> Book of Three<\/em>:<\/strong> read the selections from the novel and stage adaptation versions of <em>Flesh and Blood<\/em> \u2013 \u201c1964\u201d in the novel; and in the script, page 23, beginning with Susan\u2019s line, \u201cCome on, Billy,\u201d through to page 25, ending with Susan\u2019s line, \u201cDon\u2019t you worry.&nbsp; I\u2019m going.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In your comp book make notes for discussion:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How are they the same?<\/li>\n<li>Were any big sections omitted from the book in the stage version?<\/li>\n<li>Was anything of importance added to the script?<\/li>\n<li>Was anything compressed?<\/li>\n<li>Was anything adapted\/slightly altered\/changed?<\/li>\n<li>Was any of the prose transformed into dialogue?<\/li>\n<li>Why do you think the changes\/additions were made?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Also consider, how might this inform your work creating the adapted script for your section of <em>The Book of Three<\/em>?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>2<\/em><strong><em>.&nbsp; The Book of Three <\/em>(on-going): <\/strong>in light of yesterday&#8217;s discussion about the single-point rubric, look at the work you have done so far and think, \u201cHave we done something that brings this up to the \u2018Exceeding\u2019 column?\u201d If so, make a note of it on your rubric.&nbsp; If not, and if you are interested, what <em>can<\/em> you do?&nbsp; How will you know you have done it?<\/p>\n<p>Stay in open communication with your partner(s).&nbsp; Who is doing what?&nbsp; When do you need it done by?&nbsp; What can you be doing at home to support this work?<\/p>\n<p>The Ideating and Prototyping Text rubric and all associated materials are due <strong>on Friday, December 8.<\/strong>&nbsp; You are welcome to submit before then, if you are ready.<\/p>\n<p>3.&nbsp;<strong> Science:<\/strong> I will be conferencing with people to review your Science notes, beginning tomorrow.
