We have big blocks of time to play every day. We get outside and explore as much as we can. We practice literacy and numeracy skills every day and in a variety of ways. There are some activities that are scheduled and consistent, such as:<\/p>\n Family Reading<\/strong> –\u00a0 Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 – 9: 15 am. All caregivers and younger siblings are welcome to join us.<\/p>\n Gym<\/strong> – Wednesdays and alternating Fridays (we share with another K class and take turns).<\/p>\n We also participate in daily physical activity. We get outside and get in some active time on the playground and using the park spaces around our school. Indoors, we participate daily in movement\/action songs, stretching, breathing and yoga.<\/p>\n Music<\/strong> – Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with Mrs. Seah.<\/p>\n Art –\u00a0<\/strong>Tuesdays with Ms. Willis<\/p>\n Story Workshop<\/strong> – Tuesdays with support from Ms. Yap<\/p>\n Library<\/strong> – Wednesdays with Mr. Leclair – please return library books by Wednesday each week<\/p>\n Big Buddies<\/strong> – Friday afternoons\u00a0 with Ms. Wilson’s Grade 4\/5 class.<\/p>\n Outdoor Explore (Forest Fridays)<\/strong> – We go for a walk as a class, at least once a week, but it is scheduled for Fridays.
