In Geometry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we revisited the word\u00a0<strong>symmetry.<\/strong>\u00a0 You might remember that our art show project involved <strong>symmetrical<\/strong> bugs!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/files\/2023\/02\/pattern-blocks-e1677035727196.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4360 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/files\/2023\/02\/pattern-blocks-e1677035727196.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>This time we used geometric pattern blocks to create our <strong>symmetrical<\/strong> patterns.<\/p>\n<p>If the pattern is <strong>symmetrical<\/strong> we could &#8216;cut&#8217; it in half and fold it up to match each side.<\/p>\n<p>We had to use our <em>critical<\/em> <em>thinking<\/em> <em>skills<\/em> to create these patterns.<a href=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/files\/2020\/05\/thinking-triangle.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
