{"id":1894,"date":"2016-04-30T13:33:47","date_gmt":"2016-04-30T20:33:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/?p=1894"},"modified":"2016-04-30T13:33:47","modified_gmt":"2016-04-30T20:33:47","slug":"designing-a-door","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/2016\/04\/30\/designing-a-door\/","title":{"rendered":"Designing A Door"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our latest project has been a collaborative painting project&#8211;also related to our work <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8216;Under The Sea&#8217;<\/span> . \u00a0<\/em>We have started to design a door panel\u00a0for Room 3. \u00a0If you are interested, you can come and see the completed door panels in Room 6 (Mrs. Safarik) and the Music Room (Mrs. Ishii).<\/p>\n<p>In creating our panel, we have used acrylic paints with pot scrubbers to make a sandy ocean floor, and plastic wrap to create the <span style=\"color: #008080;\">beautiful<\/span> <span style=\"color: #00ffff;\">ocean<\/span> <span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">waves<\/span>!!! \u00a0We mixed colours directly on the panel, making sure to blend, but not completely mix&#8230;it looks phenomenal!<\/p>\n<p>Working in small groups we completed the basic background this week, and will continue to work to complete it over the\u00a0next few art periods.<\/p>\n<p>We will\u00a0each choose, design, and then\u00a0paint\u00a0an ocean\u00a0animal that we will add to that background.<\/p>\n<p>Our goal\u00a0is to have this project finished for <a href=\"http:\/\/confederationpark.sd41.bc.ca\/calendar-3\/action~month\/exact_date~1462086000\/request_format~html\/\" target=\"_blank\">Student Led Conferences<\/a> as well&#8230;or if not, at least you&#8217;ll get to see the work in progress!! \u00a0If you want a sneak peek, pop in to take a look&#8211;it&#8217;s hiding behind the couch right now!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our latest project has been a collaborative painting project&#8211;also related to our work &#8216;Under The Sea&#8217; . \u00a0We have started to design a door panel\u00a0for Room 3. \u00a0If you are interested, you can come and see the completed door panels in Room 6 (Mrs. Safarik) and the Music Room (Mrs. Ishii).
