{"id":1872,"date":"2016-04-30T12:54:41","date_gmt":"2016-04-30T19:54:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/?p=1872"},"modified":"2016-04-30T12:54:41","modified_gmt":"2016-04-30T19:54:41","slug":"trip-to-sfu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/2016\/04\/30\/trip-to-sfu\/","title":{"rendered":"Trip To SFU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I know this happened a while ago&#8230;forgive me, but we&#8217;ve been very busy with our production of &#8220;The Little Mermaid&#8221;!<\/p>\n<p>We had an awesome time visiting SFU&#8230; (it brought back some fond memories for Ms. McKenna and I!)<\/p>\n<p>We made a trip to\u00a0the SFU Trottier Studio to participate in a workshop in\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfu.ca\/science\/k-12-science-in-action-program.html\" target=\"_blank\">&#8216;Science In Action&#8217;<\/a> Program. \u00a0Unfortunately, we they were unable to do the &#8220;Bird Resources&#8221; workshop we had requested, but we had so much fun doing the\u00a0<strong>Super Science Challenge.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our objective was to:<a href=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/2016\/04\/30\/trip-to-sfu\/sfu2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1874\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1874 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/files\/2016\/04\/sfu2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"sfu2\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8216;Learn to think outside-the-box to solve puzzles, build contraptions and complete tasks; all with a scientific angle!&#8217;<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/2016\/04\/30\/trip-to-sfu\/sfu3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1875\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1875 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/files\/2016\/04\/sfu3-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"sfu3\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/2016\/04\/30\/trip-to-sfu\/sfu4\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1876\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1876 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/files\/2016\/04\/sfu4-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"sfu4\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After our workshop, we explored the Campus a bit while going on a Scavenger Hunt. \u00a0There are so many fun things to see! \u00a0We also spent some time writing poems about our experiences.<\/p>\n<p>A big Thank You to our PAC for providing us with the funds to pay for our school bus! \u00a0And of course to our volunteers who attended with us&#8211;we couldn&#8217;t do it without you!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I know this happened a while ago&#8230;forgive me, but we&#8217;ve been very busy with our production of &#8220;The Little Mermaid&#8221;!
