{"id":1562,"date":"2015-10-15T17:17:28","date_gmt":"2015-10-16T00:17:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/?p=1562"},"modified":"2015-10-15T17:17:28","modified_gmt":"2015-10-16T00:17:28","slug":"art-room","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/fischerj\/2015\/10\/15\/art-room\/","title":{"rendered":"Art Room"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week was our first visit to the art room! \u00a0We watched an i-movie of Autumn Leaves and trees set to the song <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6n_CU3yt31o\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Autumn Leaves&#8221; by Ed Sheeran<\/a>. \u00a0After that inspiration, we picked up the charcoal and started to sketch.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><em>What were our goals?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To have a &#8216;horizon&#8217; line for our tree to sit on<\/li>\n<li>To fill the page with our tree<\/li>\n<li>To have leaves falling around the tree<\/li>\n<li>To have leaves on the ground<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><em>What were the learning outcomes?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: symbol;\"><strong>Visual Arts:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>create images in response to something they observed and experienced<\/li>\n<li>create images featuring line (e.g., straight, wavy, curvy, thick, thin)<\/li>\n<li>demonstrate an awareness of safety considerations for the use of materials, technologies, and processes (e.g., appropriate use of scissors and other sharp tools, obeying hazard symbols)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: symbol;\"><strong>Science:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>illustrate and record changes that occur throughout the seasons (e.g., flowers blooming, snow melting, leaves falling, lakes freezing)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Come and see our artistic creations inside the school on our classroom bulletin boards&#8230;here&#8217;s a few to pique\u00a0your interest:<\/p>\n<p>[metaslider id=1564]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week was our first visit to the art room! \u00a0We watched an i-movie of Autumn Leaves and trees set to the song &#8220;Autumn Leaves&#8221; by Ed Sheeran. \u00a0After that inspiration, we picked up the charcoal and started to sketch.
