We have had a wonderful few weeks in Room 15 with celebrations, adventures in learning and dramatic flair with the Young Actor’s Project.<\/p>\n

We have been very mindful with our Yoga Flow, stretching, balancing and sharing flexibility.\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Students also were very appreciative of Andy and her imaginative and creative drama activities that had everyone masking their personalities and taking on new character traits.\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A real world nature experience also happened just outside of Room 17.\u00a0 An egg sac hatched and what a wonderful visual it was for our Charlotte’s Web experts.\u00a0 Division 15 loved watching the spiderlings drop and balloon away.\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our greenhouse bean seeds really germinated and grew quickly.\u00a0 We were hoping to have them available for viewing but they are reaching the top of the greenhouse.\u00a0 Therefore, they are coming home this weekend and can be planted right into the ground or into a planter pot as the container that they are in is biodegradable.\u00a0 We have now planted some pea seeds and hopefully they will germinate, root and shoot for Student Led Conferences on Thursday, May 1.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Our lettuce seeds are making some slow and steady progress.\u00a0 The challenge is that our outdoor garden bin is full of weeds and we are trying to very carefully make space for our lettuce to grow by weeding the unwanted plants and invasive species.<\/p>\n

Vaisakhi celebrations took place last weekend with a parade in Vancouver.\u00a0 This weekend, there is a parade in Surrey.\u00a0 Students have shared information about the Indian celebration of the harvest and beginning of the Khalsa religion, over the P.A. during their daily D.J. announcements.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This weekend Easter experiences take place and students have been very excited about a secret visit from the Easter bunny.\u00a0 Sophia called it “bunny mischief.” Students are looking forward to bringing their bunny ear bags home.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Tuesday, April 22nd is Earth Day.\u00a0 Division 15 has been sharing some ideas about how to connect with nature in order to appreciate and have gratitude for the Earth.\u00a0 Being connected to the planet through nature walks, star-gazing, seed and tree planting, bike-riding, forest and beach explorations allows for an understanding that the Earth should be embraced and protected.\u00a0 Hopefully, families will be able to enjoy some outdoor experiences this weekend.<\/p>\n

Just a reminder that the leadership team is encouraging students to dress up as they please on Wednesday, April 23 for house team points.\u00a0 Super-hero, book character, athlete, fancy dress … anything goes as long as there is some effort into dressing up.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Again, Student-Led conferences will take place on Thursday, May 1.\u00a0 A notice will be coming home on Tuesday.\u00a0 This opportunity is for your child to show and share what they are most proud of.\u00a0 It is not a parent-teacher conference but a student-parent share. Looking forward to having you visit the classroom.<\/p>\n
