We have been going on nature walks to Ron McLean Park.\u00a0 We have named and observed flowers, plants and trees on our way.\u00a0 One Friday, we made it to the stairs of the forest that lead to the creek.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This Friday, we made it to the bottom of the stairs and to Byrne Creek.\u00a0 We loved seeing the Lady Ferns and Sword Ferns.\u00a0 We saw invasive species and plants natural to our habitat.\u00a0 We made sure we acknowledged and thanked the Coast Salish Nations of\u00a0 Musqueam, Tsleil-Watuth and Squamish on whose traditional territories we teach, learn and live.<\/strong>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We also created some nature characters and had them settle into our Indigenous Plant Garden.\u00a0 During the daily announcements, we\u00a0 have highlighted the Oregon Grape, Bleeding Heart and Wood’s Rose plants in our garden.<\/strong><\/em>\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
