Division 10 has been so very busy and engaged in a number of Spring learning experiences.<\/p>\n

We continued our understanding of Matter<\/strong> and began to mix liquids together.\u00a0 We tried to see if one liquid would dissolve within another.\u00a0 We tried to see which liquids would sink to the bottom and which would float to the top.\u00a0 Now, we are waiting for the process of evaporation to take place so we can see the changes that take place with matter. We also experimented with air and had some balloon and bubble fun.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite most of the ice of the season being gone, we know that the NHL is still ongoing.\u00a0 So, we have continued to be involved with the game of floor hockey<\/strong>.\u00a0 Some exciting action has been taking place in the gym. \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We have also been on many searches and hunts, not for Easter eggs, for geo-shapes and solids<\/strong>.\u00a0 The classroom, school hallway and outside field and playground have opened our eyes to the number of shapes and solids in our every day world.\u00a0 We used data collection and tally marks to record our observations and findings.<\/p>\n

Our recent carpet poem is titled, “Eggs<\/strong>.”\u00a0 We began to consider all of the animals that hatch from eggs.\u00a0 It’s not just birds.\u00a0 Fish, Reptiles, Amphibians and Insects\/Arachnids all hatch from eggs.\u00a0 We had a little fun with “Who Is Hatching?” \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Our classroom inquiry question, “What stories do the seasons share with us,” led us to our Signs Of Spring<\/strong>.\u00a0 We literally made SIGNS for the arrival of the stories of Spring.\u00a0 The signs also connected to our Geometry lessons on shapes and solids.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We also took on some applied design and technology skills to create our own Shape Cities.<\/strong>\u00a0 We were inspired by the book, “Aliens and Astronauts” <\/em>as well as “Friendshape!”\u00a0<\/em> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

All Aboard The Reading Train<\/strong> was another great Literacy experience.\u00a0 Perhaps, you can get on board a reading train this weekend. \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
