Our classroom inquiry continues to open up the possibilities of the seasons with January at the forefront of our Winter<\/strong> curiousities.\u00a0 We are beginning the year considering the relationship between the Sun, Earth and Moon<\/em> as we explore Measurement Of Time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In learning about the sun, we found that the Northern Lights<\/strong> of the Arctic, the Aurora<\/em>, are in direct relationship to the sun.\u00a0 We were inspired by the book “The Lights That Dance In The Night<\/span>” so we added artistic flair to our learning.\u00a0 The images shared are accompanied by artist statements, some of which mention the aesthetic elements (line, colour, balance, emotion) of a piece of work.\u00a0 The bulletin boards and classroom displays are always available for your viewing.<\/p>\n

What Stories Do The Seasons Share With Us<\/strong> led to some creative writing, turning winter words into poetic stories through the use of a Cinquain<\/strong> pattern.\u00a0 Students shared ideas and then worked independently to create their Winter Wonderland of Poetry.<\/p>\n
