I so appreciated all of the pond stories you shared with me last week.\u00a0 That is why I am calling toaday, Toadally Awesome<\/strong> !\u00a0 Many of your stories had frogs and toads.\u00a0 Even Charlotte’s Web speaks of the frogs in Spring, “I heard the frogs today,” said the old sheep one evening, “Listen, you can hear them now.”\u00a0 Arnold Lobel wrote many adventures with friends Frog and Toad.\u00a0 Nils shared with me a few of those stories that he and his father worked on together.\u00a0 Nils is the narrator of the stories.\u00a0 Please take time to watch and listen.\u00a0 They are adorable.\u00a0 The first one is about snail mail and the second one reminded me of how I had to recently tear the March to June calendar pages off in the classrooom.\u00a0 Here are the Toad and Frog videos narrated by Nils!<\/p>\n

In class, I have a pond scene set up on the sink counter with Toad and Frog<\/em>.\u00a0 It allows those of us in class to continue to have conversations about ponds, friendship and habitats. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The ocean reads from READWORKS also continue to provide us with knowledge about habitats.\u00a0 The video from last week, How Whales Change Climate,<\/em> connects with this weeks reading passages.<\/p>\n

Charlotte’s Web<\/strong> is also a story about friendship and I hope you are enjoying the final chapters of the story.\u00a0 There are some emotional pieces too.\u00a0 It is always challenging for me to read the chapter called Last Day!\u00a0 Thank you for sending in your friendship requests for next year.\u00a0 I appreciate your thoughtful requests. As Wilbur said of Charlotte, “No one ever had such a friend – so affectionate, so loyal, so skillful.”<\/p>\n

Today you will be receiving the Self-Assessment Core Competency Activity<\/strong>.\u00a0 You will be receiving a scanned document you can print fill in and scan back to me, a one-drive word edit document and a Form Fillable document.\u00a0 You can choose which one suits you and is easiest for you to access and return.\u00a0 You only have to complete and send one of these documents back<\/strong>.\u00a0 As it is necessary for everyone to return the document, I wanted to make sure I gave options for completing and returning.\u00a0 Send back as soon as you can with a final due date of Wednesday, June 10.<\/p>\n

As promised in my video read of I Am Yoga<\/strong>, I am now going to give you some clues from Yoga By The Sea!<\/strong>\u00a0 I will give you clues and then you are to guess the pose represents and what the pose position.\u00a0 I will give 3 different clues for 3 different poses today.\u00a0 You can comment on the blog if you think you know “What Am I?”<\/p>\n

  2. Sleek and graceful in the sea, on land I flop more awkwardly.\u00a0 smooth and round with flippered feet.\u00a0 Think of all the fish I eat. What am I?<\/li>\n
  3. I burst up through the warm blue sea, then dive down low and splash with glee.\u00a0 I click and cluck and whistle sound.\u00a0 My laughter bubbles all around.\u00a0 \u00a0What am I?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Have fun trying to guess these clues and try to figure a pose to match.\u00a0 I know you will do a TOADALLY awesome job.\u00a0 Mrs. E.<\/p>\n
