Reynolds.

International Dot Day is celebrated around September 15 each year and encourages children to explore their creativity, try something new, and make their mark on the world.

In the story, a young girl named Vashti discovers that even a simple dot can be the beginning of something wonderful. It’s a lovely reminder that we are all artists and that sometimes all we need to do is give something a try!

After exploring the story, we got creative with our own dot art! Using Bingo dabbers, colourful backgrounds, and lots of imagination, students created their own unique works of art. It was wonderful to see how differently everyone approached the same activity. No two creations were alike!

Take a peek at our artists in action!

Want to enjoy the story at home? Watch a read-aloud of The Dot by Peter H.
