Last week we began exploring the scientific method. We asked questions about Skittles (the candy), made predictions, tested our predictions and recorded our observations and conclusions.<\/p>\n

We asked many questions, but we formally explored one of them – “What happens when Skittles get wet?”<\/p>\n

Many students predicted the colour would go into the water – but almost all were surprised by the beautiful way this happened when we added water to the plate.<\/p>\n

One student predicted the Skittles would dissolve – it took some time but that prediction was also correct.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This term we will continue to work on asking questions, making predictions, recording observations, and forming conclusions.<\/p>\n
