Before Spring Break, Division 8 planted Warba seed potatoes.<\/p>\n

First we removed the largest sprout from each of our seed potatoes.<\/p>\n

Then we placed them in a pot of soil & potato food and we gently covered them with soil.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Next we watered our seed potatoes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Finally we waited (all Spring Break long). We left the potatoes to grow in our warm, bright, indoor pod space.<\/p>\n

It is still too cold outside for our potatoes.<\/p>\n

When we returned from break the seed potatoes had sprouted!!<\/p>\n

The next step in caring for our potatoes was to hill them (add soil around the stems) and water them.<\/p>\n

Now we wait some more.<\/p>\n

We will continue to hill and water them as needed until they are ready to go outdoors.<\/p>\n

The class noticed that the potato leaves are soft, green and have tiny fuzzy white hairs on them.<\/p>\n
