Every 2nd week we have the opportunity to visit the Library and use the Story Workshop materials.
In our first visit we explored the materials and then had an opportunity to orally share the stories we created. Today when we visited our focus was on creating interesting settings for a story to take place. We had some time to build with materials and then used sharpies and paper to create maps of the worlds we created. We are labeling the different areas on our maps and will later use these maps to start writing descriptive passages about our setting. It is wonderful to see the imagination and creativity of the class.
