Welcome to Last, Last, Last, Last Week Today. <\/span><\/p>\n

This week (March 1-5) things have been going past very fast with school <\/span>wrapping<\/span>\u00a0up. From Salmon\u00a0<\/span>Dissection<\/span>\u00a0to\u00a0<\/span>Settlers<\/span> of Catan it was a wonder<\/span>ful week<\/span>! With Spring Break approaching we have been wrapping up the class –<\/span>focusing on finishing the grade 7 learning <\/span>portfolios.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Special Events<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We have had ton of great moments this\u00a0<\/span>week,<\/span>\u00a0but some highlights are<\/span> In School and Lakeview and Inman Virtual<\/span>\u00a0finals for PSC 2021.<\/span>\u00a0After presenting their speeches our class has selected 5 people to\u00a0<\/span>move on to the in school final<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>We also started to\u00a0<\/span>dissect<\/span>\u00a0salmon as we learn about them and how their body works.<\/span>\u00a0Another thing that was great to finish was the FSA and it was ok. To me it was very\u00a0<\/span>boring,<\/span>\u00a0but some parts were ok like the\u00a0<\/span>writing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

S.S\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We have been slowly moving along in the Settlers of Catan: Ancient Civilizations with the scores getting higher and alliances being broken. The current scores are Ancient <\/span>Egypt<\/span>\u00a0with 6<\/span>, Ancient Rome with 4, Ancient China with 3, and Ancient Greece with 2<\/span>. Meanwhile, on the work side, reports were <\/span>handed in and it seems that that is it for S.S this week<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Science<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This week science has been a great\u00a0<\/span>subject for the class. From our d<\/span>issection<\/span>\u00a0to watching a document<\/span>ary talking about salmon and their\u00a0<\/span>illnesses.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>It<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>w<\/span>as<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>called Salmon\u00a0<\/span>Confidential.\u00a0<\/span>In Dissection we\u00a0<\/span>looked<\/span> at their hearts, brains and more internal body systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Portfolio<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Families, if you are wondering what to expect when we show you our <\/span>portfolio<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>then here is a sneak peek. <\/span>In our class we have been working on reflections on our work or pictures of us when in class and working. We have also almost finished our Art project for the term which was the cover page for your\u00a0<\/span>portfolio.\u00a0<\/span>A thing we also did was the student video reflection like term 1\u2019s meeting but it is a video reflection.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Math<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Math has been going past\u00a0<\/span>very fast<\/span> with our assessment on the end of term 2. The assessment will be in a game like Ka<\/span>hoot<\/span>\u00a0or battleship. It will be mostl<\/span>y about liner relationships, Graphs, Patterns and more!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

P.E\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With the final blocks of P.E coming up we will be practicing \u201cWe\u2019re all in this together” dance choreography.\u00a0 We have been practicing ever<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>since<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>February<\/span>\u00a0and have been trying our best<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
