    1. Survey – thank you<\/h1>\n

    Thank you to all those who completed the Virtual Learning survey<\/a> — I have considered your thoughts to shape this week’s plan.<\/p>\n

    2. This Week’s Schedule<\/h1>\n

    This week, we will have a weekly plan with daily posts and updates. Please continue to check the blog daily. A common response in the survey was that a lot of families are not able to follow the typical “Monday to Friday” schedule. If you are unable to follow the daily plan, please do so at the pace and time that works best for your situation.<\/p>\n

    Please submit the writing assignment<\/span> and architecture assignment<\/span> by Sunday April<\/strong> 19<\/strong><\/span> (let me know if you need more time).\u00a0 Check Microsoft Teams — check the assignment page for access to both documents. Submit any written work through Teams (or email it to me) and any photos of your work through FreshGrade (or email me if FreshGrade is not working for you).<\/p>\n

    3. FreshGrade<\/h1>\n

    Please look out for an email invitation from FreshGrade<\/strong>. Download the STUDENT version of the app<\/strong><\/span>. Be sure to check your junk mail. This is a simple and efficient platform in sending photos and messages through a smart phone or tablet. Please download the app and send me a photo\/message to ensure it works.<\/p>\n

    If it is OK for me to share your work in our “Sharing Circle”, please let me know by saying “you may share this with the class” or “please do not share this with the class”.<\/p>\n

    4. Sharing Circle<\/h1>\n

    On Friday at 11 am, we will try out a virtual Sharing Circle on Microsoft Teams. Please meet on the Teams chat page and we will have a video conference while each sharing either our writing assignment or architecture project (or something else we have been working on this week). If you are working on a different schedule, please join in as an audience. More details on this will come as we reach closer to the day…<\/p>\n

    \nWhat is architecture? Please practice using a dictionary (either paper or electronic) to find the definition.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Please check Microsoft Teams for a document on this assignment with all details required. While I have suggestions of the steps and when they should be completed, it is only a suggestions. Go at your own pace!<\/p>\n

    We will be using our inferring skills to write a juicy story inspired by the drawings and prompts of Chris Van Allsburg. We saw his work last term when you worked in groups to create dialogue for his book\u00a0The Arrival<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
