  • How do natural resources help us to survive?
  • How do natural resources give us energy?

2. Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy/Resources

  • How do the 5 forms of renewable energy help us in our daily lives?
  • How does oil, natural gas, and coal work as non-renewable resources?
  • How do the consequences of mining affect the local environment?
  • How are clothes made from natural resources and man-made synthetics? 

3. How can cedar be used as a natural resource?

  • How can we cedar to weave clothing?
  • How can we use cedar to make Aboriginal fishing tools including tidal weirs, weirs, dip net, gill nets, and bowfishing?
  • How can cedar be used to make a canoe?

4. Natural Resources in B.C.

  • How can we play a card game collaboratively with Ms. Haskins Gr. 5/6 class to learn about the natural resources in B.C.?
  • How can apply our understanding of natural resources in forestry, agriculture, fishing, energy into our collaborative group dioramas?
