Good morning Div. 4 Scientists,<\/span><\/p>\n

Today is Wednesday, so\u00a0<\/span>it is time for more science!\u00a0<\/span>Today’s mystery science is all about spring and flowers. How can we better understand the world around us?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Watch the\u00a0<\/span>video<\/span><\/a>: How do flowers bloom in the spring & watch the bonuses (so cute)!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Try the activity (you don’t have to print anything – you can just create your own versions!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\n

    • Making your own moving flower!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Reflect on the activity (form below)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • You can try an extension!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\n

      • You can see for yourself how water moves inside a plant. Fill a glass with water and add a few drops of red or blue food coloring. Place a white flower in the glass. Wait a few hours and watch to see what happens. Look closely at the flower petals. What do you notice? Repeat this\u00a0experiment, but\u00a0use a stalk of celery or a lettuce leaf. What do you predict will happen?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
