in Div. 13<\/h2>\n<p>We will be exploring literacy throughout our day during story workshop, Daily 5, guided reading, read alouds, explicit instruction, and through our inquiry learning.<\/p>\n<h4>Curricular Competencies we will be exploring:<\/h4>\n<p><em>Using oral, written, visual, and digital <a class=\"beautytips\" title=\"&lt;em&gt;Text&lt;\/em&gt; and &lt;em&gt;texts&lt;\/em&gt; are generic terms referring all forms of oral, written, visual, and digital communication:&lt;br \/&gt; - Oral texts include speeches, poems, plays, and oral stories&lt;br \/&gt; - Written texts include novels, articles, and short stories&lt;br \/&gt; - Visual texts include posters, photographs, and other images&lt;br \/&gt; - Digital texts include electronic forms of all the above&lt;br \/&gt; - Oral, written, and visual elements can be combined (e.g., in dramatic presentations, graphic novels, films, web pages, advertisements\">texts<\/a>, students are expected
