Science
– Living things have features and behaviours that help them in their environment
– Living things have life cycles adapted to their environment
– Understand local First People knowledge of the local landscape, plants and animals
– Local people’s understanding and use of seasonal rounds
– First People’s knowledge of life cycles
Social Studies
– We shape the local environment and the local environment shapes who we are and how we live
– Natural and human-made features of the local environment
– Local actions have global consequences and global actions have local consequences
– Diverse characteristics of communities and cultures in Canada and around the world including at least one Canadian First People’s community and culture
Physical Education and Health
-Daily physical activity helps us develop movement skills and physical literacy and it is an important part of healthy living
-Learning about ourselves and others help us develop a positive attitude and caring behaviors which helps us build healthy relationships
-Good health comprises physical, mental, and emotional well-being
Arts Education
– Explore elements, processes, materials, movements, technologies, tools, and techniques of the arts
– Reflect on creative processes and make connections to other experiences
– Express feelings, ideas, stories, observations, and experiences through creative works
