{"id":84,"date":"2019-11-09T23:39:54","date_gmt":"2019-11-09T23:39:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/boydj\/?p=84"},"modified":"2019-11-09T23:40:57","modified_gmt":"2019-11-09T23:40:57","slug":"science-matter-experiments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/boydj\/2019\/11\/09\/science-matter-experiments\/","title":{"rendered":"Science -Matter Experiments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-90 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/boydj\/files\/2019\/11\/matter-poster-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"700\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our class has been learning about different states of matter and how matter can change either physically or chemically.\u00a0 We have been doing a variety of experiments in class to demonstrate how these changes happen in real life.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-89 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/boydj\/files\/2019\/11\/experiment-liquid-race2-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"700\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here we are experimenting with liquids and making them race!.\u00a0 We were experimenting to see if each liquid is the same or whether the thickness or texture would affect how the liquid moves.\u00a0 We came to the conclusion that clearer, lighter liquids like water move and change shape more quickly than thicker liquids like syrup or ketchup.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Here we are mixing solids and liquids to create a\u00a0 gas and to create a chemical reaction.\u00a0 When we mixed the baking soda and the vinegar it created a gas and filled the balloon with air!\u00a0 The children were excited to see this chemical change right before their eyes!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-85 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/boydj\/files\/2019\/11\/experiment-balloon-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"394\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-87 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/boydj\/files\/2019\/11\/experiment-balloon3-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"394\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our class has been learning about different states of matter and how matter can change either physically or chemically.\u00a0 We have been doing a variety of experiments in class to demonstrate how these changes happen in real life.
