{"id":9475,"date":"2025-12-01T17:38:34","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T01:38:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/bassol\/?p=9475"},"modified":"2025-12-01T17:44:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T01:44:14","slug":"all-about-heat-transfer-conduction-convection-and-radiation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/bassol\/2025\/12\/01\/all-about-heat-transfer-conduction-convection-and-radiation\/","title":{"rendered":"All about Heat Transfer- Conduction, Convection, and Radiation!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To understand how heat transfers in science, we made popcorn in two different ways today!<\/p>\n<p>We learned that we can <strong><em>transfer heat<\/em><\/strong> to the popping corn kernels by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CONDUCTION<\/strong>&#8211; which means there is <em>direct contact<\/em> to heat the kernels (stovetop- in a pot)<\/li>\n<li><strong>CONVECTION<\/strong>&#8211; which means <em>heat moves from a gas<\/em> (air) to heat the kernels (air popper)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Heat turns the kernels inside out into the popcorn we can enjoy&#8230;which we definitely did!
