<\/p>\nToday we had our Orange Shirt Day assembly in the gym. We listened to the significance of the orange shirt and learned the meaning behind the phrase, “Every Child Matters.”<\/p>\n

As a class, we talked about why we matter as individuals. We also thought of different ways in how we can show others that they matter:<\/p>\n
“Love their cultures.” ~Sophia<\/p>\n
“By listening to people.” ~Calliah<\/p>\n
“Being gentle.” ~Milan<\/p>\n
“Telling them that they matter.” ~Helma<\/p>\n
“Including others.” ~Maxime<\/p>\n
“I can show them respect and show them that I care about them.” ~Yousef<\/p>\n
