{"id":232,"date":"2020-03-14T00:01:59","date_gmt":"2020-03-14T00:01:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/andersonm\/?p=232"},"modified":"2020-03-14T00:01:59","modified_gmt":"2020-03-14T00:01:59","slug":"march-9-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/andersonm\/2020\/03\/14\/march-9-13\/","title":{"rendered":"March 9-13"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello families!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This final week before Spring Break was full of finishing up projects!<\/p>\n<p>We worked on Lit Circles final projects to celebrate our learning through this process.&nbsp; We also practiced using thesauri to find synonyms to make our writing more engaging.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We worked on our Rube Goldberg machines all week, and the class had fun making their machines fulfill funny tasks like throwing away a small piece of trash, rolling a marble into a box, or putting toys away.&nbsp; They were a creative and industrious bunch as they adapted and modified their original plans.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-233 size-medium alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/andersonm\/files\/2020\/03\/D9BB5945-F3C4-43C9-8CC1-54D089A5D848-scaled-e1584143989705-224x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\"><\/p>\n<p>In Math, we practiced the process of long division, then made peer teacher videos to demonstrate our skills.<\/p>\n<p>In Restorative Justice, we shared appreciations of one another with a kindness circle activity and played group games.<\/p>\n<p>Today (Friday), we had two assemblies.&nbsp; In the first, the primary students and Grade 7 band performed the music they have been working on this term!&nbsp; In the second, we had a performance by Monster Theatre titled &#8220;We Now Know: The Complete History of Science.&#8221;&nbsp; It was a funny and high-energy production teaching about everything from atoms to Marie Curie.&nbsp; It was a fun end to Term 2!<\/p>\n<p>Report cards were sent home yesterday.&nbsp; Schools are closed until Monday, March 30th for one week of Spring Break and one week of school closures.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I hope you all have a healthy, restful and fun Spring Break.&nbsp; I am looking forward to more learning in Term 3!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello families!&nbsp; This final week before Spring Break was full of finishing up projects!
