In Math class, we read “Three Pigs, One Wolf, and Seven Magic Shapes.” This is a twist on the fairy tale, “Three Little Pigs.” In this story, each of the three little pigs are given seven magic shapes and they get to turn it into whatever they want. The smartest pig built a house out of the shapes and was safe from Big Brad Wolf (twin brother of Big Bad Wolf).
After reading the story, the students were each given a tangram with seven magic shapes. They changed it into various things and eventually settled on picking one to glue and display.
