Falling Leaves = Fall Season
The students are learning about the autumn season through a variety of ways. One of the things they learned is that many trees lose leaves during this time of year. Leaves fall off of trees and can be red, orange, yellow, green, or brown in colour.
Each student collected a leaf and we graphed it in two ways.
Below is an image of our colour leaf pictograph:
We counted how many leaves of each colour:
4 red, 2 orange, 2 yellow, 0 green, 10 brown
Then we used that information and graphed it on a horizontal bar graph.
We also did some finger painting:
Next time you walk outside, take a look outside. What do you notice about the trees? What do you notice about the leaves?
