Hello Division 4!

It was wonderful talking to most of your families yesterday and today! It’s is good to hear that you are all doing well and have already set up some daily routines. I am still trying to contact some of your families.  If I keep missing you, please have someone email me.

I’ve noticed that many of you have enabled your Epic Books account and some are already voraciously reading. Keep up the good work! I know Ms. Carson, our librarian, will be happy to see how much our class enjoys reading.

As you may recall, we planted potatoes before Spring Break and Ms. Anania has been kind enough to water and take a picture of our plants today. The stalks have already passed the top of the containers!

Some of you have mentioned that you would like to share what you have done this week. I have posted an optional assignment for you on 0365-19_BWong Teams.

This is an opportunity to practice using Teams again. There should be an editable Word document attached to the assignment for you to use and a video to show you how to insert your photos if you want to add them.

You can also make up your own word document. Just remember to attach your work and hand it in after so I can see it.

Please remember, this assignment is to help us practice and it’s optional!  Do not stress if you are having trouble or you cannot find the time.  I am also learning to use Teams too.  This will be my first time adding attachments to an assignment and I am hoping it all works!

Remember we are all on this new learning journey together.

I will be sending you an email soon about Epic Books! This is a digital library where the class will have access to over 40 000 books for free. Later on, I will be making recommendations for the class in the assigned section but for now,  enjoy exploring all the books, videos and audio books!

Our wonderful Mrs. Anania has been working diligently on updating our Office 365 Word passwords and I have just received them.

Some of you may have tried to login earlier, but there has been a change to the passwords.

When you login to Microsoft Office at the top of the Buckingham website, you will need your LOGIN number which is the same one that should be in your planner. This is the student number you use to login to the laptops at school except you need to add @edu.burnabyschools. ca  at the end

For example:  1234567@edu.burnabyschools.ca,

Your PASSWORD should be the same but add the three exclamation marks at the end.

For example:   Before- tin7                 Now – tin7!!!

As a result, this is how this student would login:

SIGN IN:    1234567@edu.burnabyschools.ca

PASSWORD:     tin7!!!

So if you have time, your homework today is:

1. Try to login to Office 365 at the top of the Buckingham website .
2. Once you are in. Go to Teams 365_BWong.
3. Click onto the the Files Tab at the top and review the Digital Citizenship Pdf before you post.
4. Go to the Post tab at the top, click on it and send  a  “Hello” to everyone after my post from yesterday.

I miss seeing all of your smiling faces, but we still can stay connected. I will be calling your family tomorrow so please let your parents know if you need your login and password again.
