Some questions answered

Hello Division 4!

Good morning everyone! I know someone of you had some questions about the schedule. I am going to try to answer some of them in this post.

  1. You will find your assigned book in Epic books when you click onto your mailbox.
  2.  Please remember posting in the Class Morning Posts is optional. If you want to post, just type in the box where it says “Start a new conversation”. Type in your response and press the “Enter” or “Return” key to post your response. This is a spot where you can just express how you are feeling like we do during class meetings.
  3. Furthermore, just a reminder that everything you post (even your reply) is visible to all the members and the owners (teachers) who are part of the team. Please do not post in the channels specifically for Music and Library until you are given some direction from Mrs. Veikle and Ms. Carson.
  4. If you are having trouble finding all the assignments,  the assigned Editable Word documents/assignments are found under your assignments tab. Please remember to “Turn In” your assignments when you are done.
  5. The Online Behavior lesson for Tech Readiness is now available. If you have not logged off Typing.com, you have to log off and then  log back on to have access to the lesson.

I will be in a virtual staff meeting today between 1-2 p.m. so I will not be able to answer any of your questions during this time.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Good Morning Division 4!

I hope you had an enjoyable long weekend!  Today, I’ve included a picture of Bill Nye the Fishy Guy 3  along with the link for your Weekly Schedule of Learning Opportunities.

Please note that the handout assignments will be made available in Microsoft Teams around 8:30 a.m. on the day they are assigned. Also, while some of the lessons on Typing.com are available now for you to take a look at, the last two Tech Readiness lessons will not be made available until the days they are assigned.

Have a good day, everyone! It will be another beautiful Spring day so please try to get out for some fresh air.

Bill Nye the Fishy Guy 3 and I  are together at my place. Even at home, we easily practice physical distancing from each other, since he stays in his tank. 🙂

Energy

Good Morning Division 4!

Last term we started looking at energy. We will continue to look at different types of energy this term. I’ve posted two videos for your learning opportunity today. The first posted video talks about how potential and kinetic energy relate to flight. In the second video, John Collins, who is a record holder for flying paper airplanes, gives you five different planes you can try making. Have fun flying your planes!

It’s the long weekend coming up and the weather forecast is promising. Try to go outside and practice social distancing while you get some fresh air!

Here’s a colouring sheet to try when you are at home.

If you would like to share your work with me, take a picture of your art or planes and turn it in to me on Teams.
