{"id":8681,"date":"2019-05-21T17:20:08","date_gmt":"2019-05-22T00:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/watts\/?p=8681"},"modified":"2022-06-13T21:36:04","modified_gmt":"2022-06-14T04:36:04","slug":"grouse-mountain-field-trip-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/watts\/grouse-mountain-field-trip-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Grouse Mountain Field Trip"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Last month the Grade 2s, 3s and 4s in Division 7, 8 &amp; 9 traveled by school bus to Grouse Mountain for a day of adventure in the snow!!!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/photos.app.goo.gl\/9LDQ3fjTLxPtckK96\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5757 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/watts\/files\/2016\/05\/3d-echarpe.gif\" alt=\"3d-echarpe\" width=\"153\" height=\"109\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">(Click on the smiley above to see pictures of our adventures!)<\/span><br \/>\nFirst, we walked through the winter wonderland of Grouse to have an interactive experience all about bears with bear artifacts, stories and we\u00a0learned the similarities and differences between the 3\u00a0species of North American bears: the grizzly, black bear and polar bear!\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Next, we stepped into an authentic Pacific Northwest Longhouse and had the privilege of having\u00a0Kwel-a-a-nexw, Grouse&#8217;s\u00a0Squamish First nations elder, take us\u00a0back in time to discover the traditional way of life of our First Nations people.<br \/>\nAfter enjoying our lunches in the Grouse Mountain cafeteria, we had a guided snowshoe tour along the Light Walk trail before jumping back on the gondola and travelling down to our awaiting school bus back to school!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last month the Grade 2s, 3s and 4s in Division 7, 8 &amp; 9 traveled by school bus to Grouse Mountain for a day of adventure in the snow!!!
